resources to prevent, mitigate, and prepare a response for critical incidents.
How it works: The School Multi-Hazard Assessment & Resource Tool offers schools
the opportunity to assess and improve their ability to address specific
safety and security concerns, such as fire, arson, bomb threats, violence,
and emergency response protocols. The SMART School Tool presents a series of modules, each
one dedicated to a particular safety/security issue. Each module consists
of a series of questions related to that concern. Each question also
identifies specific web site or publication resources that offer information
or how-to instruction related to the question.
