Amy M. Hamel is the Senior Associate at the NI2 Center for Infrastructure Expertise. Hamel returns to NI2 to assist in business development and managing IP projects after serving for two years as the Executive Director of the Center for Campus Fire Safety.

Her career began with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a research analyst for the fire and burn incident programs for the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Professional development in fire investigation led Hamel to become a field investigator for the Attorney General in the Insurance and Unemployment Fraud Division where she was certified in interview and interrogation by the Reid School. She gained experience in fundraising and capital projects during Campaign Andover for Phillips Academy and at Holy Family Hospital where she directed special events. In 2007, she was named in the Top 25 People in the Security Industry by Security Magazine.

Hamel is a graduate of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH with a degree in criminal justice.
