Mr. Mauton currently serves as the Treasurer and Executive Director of the National Infrastructure Institute.  In addition, Mr. Mauton is a Program Manager with Plexus Scientific Corporation on projects with the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Grants and Training, formerly the Office for Domestic Preparedness.  Mr. Mauton was also closely involved with the establishment of the National Infrastructure Institute to include strategic planning, budget development and external affairs matters.

Prior to the National Infrastructure Institute, Mr. Mauton served as a Management Analyst for the Department of State's Office of Logistics Management.  In this role, Mr. Mauton served as an in-house consultant to different departmental branches and managed a $35 million appropriated budget.  Mr. Mauton also served as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Army, Under Secretary of the Army and Assistant Secretary of the Army at the Pentagon.  While at the Department of the Army, Mr. Mauton coordinated research and special projects regarding public affairs and intergovernmental affairs initiatives as well as serving as liaison for White House projects and Congressional inquiries.  Prior to his position at the Pentagon, Mr. Mauton served in the Office of the Counsel to the President at the White House managing the Presidential nomination and appointment process for non-judicial candidates.

Mr. Mauton has held college internship positions with the United States Senate, Voice of America, British House of Commons and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Mr. Mauton has a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland and a Certificate in E-Commerce and Business Management from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
