Mr. Peimer is a Deputy Director with the National Infrastructure Institute, (NI2) Center for Infrastructure Expertise in Portsmouth NH. Mr. Peimer joined the institute after a 26 year career in Federal Law Enforcement. He was most recently the Resident Agent in Charge of the Manchester NH Office of the United States Secret Service (USSS) with responsibilities including all USSS activities in the entire states of NH & VT. Prior to employment with the Secret Service he worked for 6 years with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF). He was employed with the BATF both as an agent and as a Forensic Chemist at the National Laboratory (Bomb and Arson Section) in Rockville Md. Mr. Peimer holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Vermont and a Masters Degree in Forensic Science from George Washington University in DC.

Mr. Peimer is widely recognized for his expertise in the areas of Facilities Security Protection and Technical Security matters. He served in numerous offices within the USSS including the Technical Security Division in Washington DC. During his tenure with the USSS Mr. Peimer coordinated numerous security events for the President & Vice President of the United States as well as visiting foreign dignitaries including several visits by the Pope. He acted as the USSS coordinator for technical security at many large venues. These included Presidential Inaugurations, Political Party Nominating Conventions, and gatherings of world leaders in both the US and abroad. Many of the venues protected were in foreign locales designated by the US State Dept. as "hazardous duty" stations.

Mr. Peimer has been recognized for his expertise in matters relating to terrorism and, in particular, infrastructure protection. He acted as the USSS coordinator for the 1993 post blast investigation of the World Trade Center Bombing and testified in the two trials as the representative for the USSS.

Mr. Peimer has been a lecturer on Blast Analysis and Explosive Detection at numerous meetings & seminars including the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), US College of District Attorneys, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators, and other related venues.

Mr. Peimer was selected by the USSS to conduct target analysis and threat analysis studies of both government and non-governmental facilities in the US. Some of these projects involved national "icons" and monuments. Mr. Peimer's team made numerous recommendations concerning security upgrades and "hardening" of the physical facilities based on the target analysis. The upgrades proposed in these reports were designed to increase safety from attack by explosives, nuclear, chemical, and biological agents, and small arms fire. After approval by Congress, many of the proposed recommendations were adopted and implemented by the agencies responsible for the direct oversight of the various facilities.
