Center for Effective Collaboration and Practice: School Violence
Promotes the emotional well-being of students through safe learning environments.

Center for the Prevention of School Violence
Serves as a resource center and "think tank" for efforts that promote safer schools and foster positive youth development. The "Principal's Office" section contains documents on school violence prevention; safe school planning; crisis prevention and management; and critical incident response.

Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence - Safe Communities, Safe Schools

Hamilton Fish National Institute on School and Community Violence
A not-for-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to inform decision-making by policymakers, educators, researchers and other stakeholders and to support schools by providing research and synthesis of information so that schools are made safe for high achievement.

Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior

Jimmy Ryce Law Enforcement Training Center (JRLETC)

National Association of Secondary School Principals Safe & Orderly Schools
The principal's association provides information about safe schools and what can be done to ensure safety in schools.

National Association of School Resource Officers
NASRO is a not-for-profit organization for school-based law enforcement officers, school administrators, and school security/safety professionals working as partners to protect students, school faculty and staff and the schools they attend.

National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services
Includes a section on Security, including reports specific to safe transportation of students.

National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities
NCEF's lists links, books, and journal articles on building or retrofitting schools to withstand natural disasters and terrorism, developing emergency preparedness plans, and using school buildings to shelter community members during emergencies. National Education Association School Safety
